SatData Embedded

from prototype to series production

With SatData Embedded, you integrate hybrid satellite and 4G/5G connectivity directly into your own systems, vehicles, and drones. From initial prototype to certified series production, we help OEMs, system integrators, and defense suppliers build always-online solutions that remain reliable in the harshest environments.

Wat is SatData Embedded?

SatData Embedded is the modular heart of our SatData solutions: compact electronics, smart firmware, and industrial connectors, designed to disappear unobtrusively into your own housing, mast, vehicle, or payload. You determine the shape, height, connections, and power supply; we provide the embedded connectivity core with satellite, 4G/5G, GNSS, Wi-Fi/Ethernet, and remote management.

  • One integrated module for satellite mobile local network.
  • Designed for 24/7 use in vibrating, dirty, and wet environments.
  • Ready for integration into drones, unmanned systems, yachts, masts, vehicles, and industrial installations.

From concept to working prototype

Together, we translate your requirements into a concrete embedded concept:

  1. Analysis & Requirements We inventory the environment, bandwidth requirements, latency, available space, power supply, antenna positions, and certification requirements (e.g., MIL, marine, or industry standards).
  2. Architecture & Design We select the optimal combination of modems, satellite terminals, CPU, I/O, and power design. In doing so, we take into account EMC, cooling, service access, and future maintenance.
  3. Mechanical design and fitting: In 3D CAD, we design a module or complete housing that fits perfectly into your vehicle, mast, or payload – including cable glands, shock mounts, and drone or deck mounting.

Result: a functional prototype that can be tested under realistic conditions, before you invest in expensive tooling or series production.

What can we do for you?

Testing, qualifying and optimizing

An embedded solution is only successful if it performs just as well in the field as it does on the drawing board. That is why we provide guidance:

  • Lab and field tests: throughput measurements, latency analyses, failover scenarios, handover tests between 4G/5G and satellite, GNSS performance and RF interference.
  • Robustness: vibration and temperature tests, IP sealing, cable strain relief, and EMC behavior in your actual installation.
  • Optimization: fine-tuning of antenna placement, firmware settings, QoS profiles, bonding logic, and energy consumption.

This creates an embedded SatData solution that has been proven to do what you promise your end customer.

Towards series production and lifecycle support

Once the design is validated, we help you scale up:

  • Industrial production: scaling up to small or medium-sized series, fixed configurations, and clear BOM lists.
  • Documentation: installation guides, wiring schematics, API/management descriptions for your own manuals.
  • Version control & updates: management of firmware versions, remote updates, and security patching across the entire lifecycle.

You get a single point of contact for design, hardware, connectivity, and support – so you can focus on your own application and market.

For which customers is SatData Embedded?

SatData Embedded has been developed for parties that need embedded connectivity as part of their own product:

  • Defense/OEM: drone systems, sensors, remote weapons, mobile command platforms.
  • Maritime and yacht building: integrated connectivity modules in masts, radars, bridges, and communication racks.
  • Industry and mobility: cranes, pile drivers, agricultural machinery, offshore installations, construction and infrastructure equipment.
  • System integrators: complete cabinets, containers, or vehicles in which SatData forms the connectivity brain.
